Angelika (name)

Angelika ((ロシア語:Анжелика), (ウクライナ語:Анжеліка)) is a variant of Angelica, derived from Latin angelicus meaning "angelic", ultimately related to Greek ''ἄγγελος'' (angelos) "messenger". The poets Boiardo and Ariosto used this name in their 'Orlando' poems (1495 and 1532), where it belongs to Orlando's love interest. It has been used as a given name since the 18th century.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.behindthename.com/name/angelika )〕 Angelika is used in Polish, German, Slovak, Czech,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.behindthename.com/name/angelika )〕 Russian, and Ukrainian.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://names.detstvo.ru/namelist/%C0/%C0%ED%E6%E5%EB%E8%EA%E0/ )〕 The name "Angelika" may refer to:
